  • 4 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 finely chopped green chilli
  • 10 finely chopped curry leaves
  • 75 grams frozen peas
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Sheets of Puff pastry softened and cut each sheet into squares

Making of Tandoori Chicken Samosas:

1. To prepare the stuffing, start by mixing the tandoori paste and the yoghurt in a bowl. Now, add chicken breasts and properly coat the pieces with the mixture. Take a cling roll and cover the bowl and keep it aside to marinate in the fridge for one hour.

2. Preheat the oven at 180°C or 360°F. One the oven is heated, place the chicken on the roasting tray and let it cook for 20 minutes. Let the chicken set aside to cool before chopping into small cubes.

3. Heat some oil in a pan and add onions. Saute for about a minute and then add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, mustard seeds, salt and black pepper powder and cook for a minute, stirring well.

4. Now, add garlic, chillies, and curry leaves and again saute well. Then add potatoes and mix gently. Then add peas and cook again for 2-3 minutes.

5. In the end, add the chopped chicken, lemon juice, and finely chopped coriander. Mix very gently and then switch off the gas. Let the stuffing cool down.

6. Take the square of puff pastry and place one tablespoon of stuffing on it. Apply egg white on the edges and seal them giving the triangle shape. Repeat the procedure with the remaining pastry and filling.

7. Take a kadai and heat the oil in it for frying. Once the oil is heated, fry the samosas until they turn golden-brown and crispy.

Place the yummy tandoori chicken samosas on the plate and serve them with chutney or raita. A lip-smacking recipe that is definitely worth trying.
